Disabling defense's spawn protection?

There are far too many maps with ill-placed spawn points, such that the attacking team must run through a guantlet of spawn-protected defenders with duel pistols. Is there any way to disable their spawn protection only?
 
Nah its hard coded because I didn't want a lot of servers running different settings. The def only have 2 seconds of protection, and afaik its only really an issue on HiSpeed (where the def spawning in Car 2 is a pain in the arse anyway, this just makes it worse).
