Hi folks,
I popped by for, well... who knows, eh?
just reliving good times past. hopefully you are all doing well, and life is treating you well.
We never did arrange that last =[FDC]= meetup... who knows; maybe 2015 will be our year. ;)
Hi Dave :)
cheers for that Solar - I tried this, but it didn't work for me... but I was trying to map F6 and F7.
As a question - what O/S are you running?
ello folks
Fancied some UT99 again after a break, so installed GOTY on my Windows 7 box...
works fine, nice and smooth... but no extended mouse buttons, just the regular left right ones.
Installed setpoint, configured the buttons - still nothing.
any ideas?
You guys are great :)
on My birthday, I was here:
That's the view from 55 storeys up on the Rialto tower, the second highest building in the Southern Hemisphere in the heart of Melbourne.
(I was in Melbourne on business, working on the design of a twin datacentre installation with over...
I agree completely - we need something else.
I think that Nuclear is the best choice for now - but only because of the environmental and health damage of coal/oil/gas. We need much, much more use of renewables (and this also means environmentalists need to shut the hell up about stopping wind...
it's all about the base load Bart - I am a big fan of renewables, I want to see us using lots more solar and wind (and especially moving toward microgeneration on rooftops etc), but the simple fact is that renewables cannot ever produce the steady state base load power that's needed to run the...
oooooh, good thread.
this is my pet topic - heck, I'm even writing a book about it (expect it to be published sometime after hell freezes over )
I am pro nuclear. Personally, I feel that if the danger of global warming is as significant as we think it is, then we should be shutting down...

some of them are pretty sick, as folks obviously broke bones etc - but that one... well there's a story there - the guy got sucked through the engine and *survived*
His helmet caused the compressor blades to shatter, which cut of the fuel supply almost instantly - he didn't even break bones if...
Just a wee addendum from me, less structured argument, more just comments on what has been said.
The UK's rebate from the EU budget is a historical hangover, and should go - but only when the CAP is scrapped (preferably) or reformed.
IMO The Common Agricutural Policy is bad on just about...
Well...
It has been a lot of fun, a long happy journey, but like a tired old dog, =[FDC]='s time has finally come.
To all of the clans who have had scheduled matches against us over the last few months, when we showed up with half a team, or even not at all, our apologies - everyone wanted...
When you spend money on high tech development in order to prompt new technology, it has an enormous positive effect on society as a whole.
IF you decide to develop, for talkings sake, a space hotel, when you award the initial multi-million pound contracts, that money doesn't vaporise - it is...
Some points.
1) The UK *IS* a part of Europe. Get Over It.
2) The UK is *NOT* a Strong, or Thriving nation. It's an also ran, a has been, and to be blunt about it, it's xenophobic attitudes like the one you are displaying here that are to blame. Like it or not, this is a global economy, an...
