Thoughts on pickups / powerups.
So far they're saying they want to have bases for weapons, healthpacks, kegs, shield, armor, which means you can't have any items placed without one (ruling out random placement of pads underwater, for example). This isn't a horrible idea if you follow their rationale, but I don't agree with having healthpacks having them.
They're talking about having 3D models for pickups like UT99 and not the gay holographic models like UT2k4. This is a good discussion to contribute to.

There is a lack of UT99 support in the UT99 vs. UT2k4 Assault thread. This is not a discussion which we should be giving up upon, and I don't feel comfortable being the only non-confirmed Austrian psychopath replying for the UT99 side.

There was a lot of anger today directed at some of the people on the official UT stream and their idiocy regarding rocket launches. One of those individuals dropped by #utapug while Europe was asleep and offline:
