Future of AS?

Yes, bleh IS bad. You know why? Because he calls newcomers to CTF "cripples", that's why.
He's skilled at the game but he is worth SHIT to its integrity.

Our own UT edition would be to impress the inactives of UTA. UT edition with all AS maps in it.

I need to do something about my head?
I have absolutely no problem with solid criticism, but that's a fucked up insult right there.

At first I was impressed by your work, yes. But then not so much.
Yes, I am trying to discredit you, because I am very scared of what you would do to our beloved community here.

Here's what PACO would do to UTA:
He would move things to GlobalUnreal. And UTAssault.net would be dead entirely.
And I and hopefully all of us will not let that happen. Because UTAssault.net is our identity and we are going to bring it back.
I have made several people try out UTA, and we will make a lot of people try it out over at QN.

But this guy? He is an invader. Put as much faith in him as you put faith into smant.

seas please calm down, we're here to work together into making the best thing for assault

you're confusing me now first you were talking about a giant tournament with people from all over the place in it and now you're talking about bringing back inactive UTA people? :uhh:

you speak a lot about preserving UTAssault.net yet you created another website ut99assault.com :| nothing wrong with that in essence but you can see the digression here, if ut99assault.com is going to be a continuation of the uta community why couldnt global unreal be the same ??? sounds logical to me, but it's not my call...

I don't know PACO that well but everytime i spoke with him/read his posts he seems very very nice and it looks he has a lot to offer to the assault community (OMDZ THERE MORE THAN 1 MYM ON THIS EARTH ?!) I'm convinced he's not trying to kill the UTA community.... he doesn't even know it so how could he possibly have a grudge against it and want to "invade" it :/ The way I see it, he's trying to help assault, same as you seas so you BOTH have my thanks :thumb:

I hope the flames will stop and that whatever comes forward from now will be positive

http://ut99assault.com is NOT an entire new website. It is a SQUEEZE PAGE for UTAssault.net. It points to UTAssault.net, it makes them sign up for UTAssault.net.

The giant tournament we can do ourselves. Without selling our soul and identity.

I know he doesn't want to kill it. But he would alienate it significantly.

PACO is mates with smant. And smant talks like this:

<+smant> DISGUSTING PSYCHO PATHETIC ROTTEN MEAT SANGUICHE ASSHOLE OF THE SHIT KANGAROOS

I, too, used to be mates with smant. But then he went fuckin nuts on me, because I had to decline his help for new pug chan, because many ppl thought he was retarded, and I made a marathon bomb joke. And when I say nuts I do mean freakin nuts. Remember XBs thread? That was a joke compared to what smant pmed me.

So anyone who's friends with smant can expect you to reason the same way towards them? Seas come now, don't be ostrich.

Paco seems like a sound guy with a genuine interest to help out the as community. It wasn't until you didn't get the support you needed that you started discrediting him, from what can be seen here. Learn to work together for the good of the community instead of fighting like a bunch of pre-teens and some imaginative "credit".

all this drama here looks promising...like in the good old times.
Since years i am just an observer and not a participant, so i've really no idea whose the "good" and whose the "bad" guy and i couldnt care less.
Seas attempt to revive assault is pretty cool (although i cant believe that i'll last long, because the multiplayer scene is completely different now and surpassed UT...just my opinion tho ;))

Personally i always appreciated and liked smants input. Even when it was sometimes abit wacky and could be over the top. But i rate him as a smart guy, who ease things up.
So dont get too harsh on him tho :)

Did all thoe actions until now work to revive the assault community?

Let me put it this way:
IF 1) PACO is willing to help AS while we do things OUR way, that means on UTAssault.net AND
2) smant stops his annoying TSM shit THEN we can all work together happily.
I'd apologize for insults and rudeness and would expect them to apologize properly, too.

Otherwise we do it all ourselves and we'd generate enough interest and prize money to "put AS back on the map".

one bright topic UT has is that the gameplay is genuine.

allot of modern games use handicapping methods and i can only see this becoming more and more in the future, i am tempted to just come back to UT tbh. obviously you still have RTS games that are genunly competitive but COD use blatent handicapping methods to aid n00bs in the game it's pathetic.

For people who just want to play an online game against others , UT offers a free online game that is genuine.

Well I don't really know what's going on but all these ideas sound very good. I hope you can find a way to work together to get more people to play assault. I had a fantastic time when I was active and playing assault and I'm sure new players will enjoy assault too.

Server IPs and their location, please tracert them and post them in
tag. Along with your comments on our current progress etc.

[23:53:13] <seas-> something like the FR one can be replaced with SWE server
[23:53:16] <seas-> or whatever we need

Should we invite US people into our chans on QN? Where we have 1-2 US servers, on which we play at 3-4am?

Or do you wanna do it #uscpug style?

BTW chans are set, have been for a while. BOT is also much further now, still not 100% because its not spydee's top priority in his life, and neither in mine.
But it can set 6v6s comfortably, on any server, picking maps works just fine, and then password and auth works too. Passwords are changed to this format: spec25, red92, blue12.

What still needs to be done: Setting mutators and things like Friendly Fire, for proAS, instaAS, etc. And some cosmetics, to make it act just like UTApugbot.

I invite you all to stop by and start idling! :)

#assault.pro EVERYBODY will be able to join, not invite only. HOWEVER, you have to be AS regular to get voice and be able to sign up for pugs.
And you HAVE TO register your nick with Q.

Again, our end goal for this year, 2013:
200 signups for MLAS, the biggest AS cup in UTA history. Many many inactives returning and many many new people joining.

Numbers crunching: http://forums.utassault.net/showpost.php?p=1629676&postcount=7
AS players we can get more than 40. With massive FB campaigning we can get a very nice number.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Looks like not only me autobanned when not even joined #upig.
Gut admining. Looks promising after read all comments and flames. joke really.

Well I don't really know what's going on but all these ideas sound very good. I hope you can find a way to work together to get more people to play assault. I had a fantastic time when I was active and playing assault and I'm sure new players will enjoy assault too.

Tjena Micke! :)

DJ and smant start out perm banned, until public apology is given to me and UTA.

Full list of my ideas for AS is coming within next days, give me until Thursday. Example: Radio show with Banshee and some female DJs.

Ok, so, a ton of stuff is coming to UTA. Here's my previous post again:

Other things to come: PM/Email/FB inactive UTA people and bring them back into new chan.

There's gonna be 1000€ of prize money for UTAssault.net, sponsored by ASUS/whatever or myself, which will bring back 2-3 divisions of 5 clans each.
Ideally, anyway.

FURTHERMORE, we are gonna promote the UTA meeting(s) we are gonna have this year. Ideally it's only 1 meeting, with 20+ people.
Let's say Amsterdam, in August. Opinions welcome!

But wait, there's more!
- Best of UTA quotes. Everybody can submit, admins will review and publish them.
- Very strict rule enforcing on being late. That's what has been neglected lately.
- Yellow card system we might keep? Dunno if it can get credibility back? Either way it was a good idea by DJ, it's a shame he brought it ad absurdum ;x
- All AS movies on YT and listed.
- AS clips.
- Live streams of matches.
- naliAS, possibly even in league.
