Why doesnt fraps work on youtube?

if you mean clips capped with fraps then you have to know that Fraps is using their own not standard codec.
Files DO have proper extension however FRAPS compression method is used.

Use VirtualDUB to re-encode it into some divx or xvid.

Fraps prolly just captures DX or OpenGL... obviously YouTube doesn't use any of those.

naw ive used fraps to capture from WMP etc before

Vdownloader is the oen i use it converts directly the .fl into .avi means turns flash into movies

You can download movies from 5 or 6 places including youtube and google movies
