Any one using Vista? :sofa:

I am for the "experience" and noticed how damn awful OpenGL is under Vista. It turns out it's because Aero is turned on, with it turned off OpenGL is gr8 :D

To turn Aero off....right click desktop...Personalize (I select language = UK and the lazy fekkers still spell things wrongly)....Window Color and Appearance (ffs again!!!)....Open classic appearance properties....change GUI to Windows Vista Basic.

If you all knew that anyway...... :P :moon2:

I'm having some strange colour offsets, especially when i get closer to walls in dark areas, some examples below.
Oh and yes how do i turn of Waterfog?

Isn't it normal that the colors are like that? I mean you just have a high brightness setting, but at that part of the map there are hardly any lightsources. It can't really brighten dark places well afaik.

Yes 32 bit

Code:
[WinDrv.WindowsClient]
WindowedViewportX=1024
WindowedViewportY=768
WindowedColorBits=32
FullscreenViewportX=1680
FullscreenViewportY=1050
FullscreenColorBits=32
Brightness=0.900000
MipFactor=1.000000
UseDirectDraw=True
UseJoystick=False
CaptureMouse=True
StartupFullscreen=True
CurvedSurfaces=False
LowDetailTextures=False
ScreenFlashes=False
NoLighting=False
SlowVideoBuffering=True
DeadZoneXYZ=True
DeadZoneRUV=False
InvertVertical=False
ScaleXYZ=1000.000000
ScaleRUV=2000.000000
MinDesiredFrameRate=28.000000
Decals=True
NoDynamicLights=False
UseDirectInput=False
ParticleDensity=0
NoFractalAnim=False
SkinDetail=High
TextureDetail=High

changed to d3d8r12 and it solved my crosshair problem and also the precache issue with hi res textures :satan:

used the settings they work nice but....

1) everything is *very* dark, if i take an ingame-screeny they come out with ok brightness tho...

2) can i tell UT to only use part of my monitor? :P stretching 1024x768 to 1680x1050 aint nice and i cant tell UT to render 1024x640... and higher resolution isnt an option for my crap PC :D

GammaOffset=0.250000 adjust that figure till you get what brightness you want m8

and also set

WindowedViewportX=1280
WindowedViewportY=1024
WindowedColorBits=32

and play in windowed mode

If you have NVIDIA, in the control panel is an option to set "scaling" of the picture on the monitor. If you set it to keep aspect ratio it will have two black bars on each horizontal side of 4:3 resolutions on widescreens.

Anyone tried OGlide with windows 7 and an ATI card?
I've tried it with my 4850 and its unplayable :(
hoping someone has had more luck than me.
