New Unreal Tournament [Real, not speculation]

Right boys, here's a request that you guys can help me with. I don't know who created the logo for image for http://www.utassault.net/, but I'd like a new version with the UT4 model and without the "AL" (so just UTA). The texture looks a little late-90s-early-00s also. Don't need the swishy background, just the main block. Anyone? :)

Right now, it is easier for me with my compile problem (sounds like a I need to see a doc) if I create this as a Plugin first. Hence, I need a Plugin icon, and I think it would be quite cool to use the league's logo. Due to me installing Windows 10 and not having a proper image editor on here atm (I usually need to do clean installs), I can't even edit the damn canvas size of the image. Plus as mentioned, I think we should re-do the image for UT4.

Thanks Bamse! Will obviously add credit to the Plugin for anyone who assists. Progress has been slow last few days due to corporate travelling and seminars, but this weekend will put the finishing touches onto the AssaultObjectives and then the big ol' GameState and finishing the GameMode where all the logic will go. Looking forward to having a playable test version coming in the next few weeks (minus team launching which will.be a seperate more complicated part of the project).

Perhaps we need a dedicated forum to this development /pokes Timo ;)

We have two already squirreled away for old Fraghub/UTA; however I'm more a fan of this being a public effort... Also I'd like to see use of external tools to promote "to-do" style lists and open them up for comment, rather than just being in our little corner of the internet.

We created our logo first, we should sue :D

Quick update - work continues on the main GameState, there's some complexity here where we cant replicate UT99's method of reloading the map after the first half, meaning I have to do a lot of resetting and switching in a "half-time".

Also, the methods UT uses to broadcast messages to all players are pretty backwards :D I can easily send sexy pre-defined messages to clients, but when it comes to map-specific (e.g. "Attackers have breached the boiler room") text, it's an absolute arse. As you can see from the screenshot, right now I'm just outputting them using debug text.

Once I get the sexy messages in and work out how to handle the half-time processes, we're 70% there for the game mode.

Would highly recommend joining us on the Trello board, as we should be soon moving into post-coding work (testing, mapping, website rebuilding, community generation).

I have been following the development of UT4 and im happy to read that there are plans to reincarnate utassault. I want to actively participate in the process any way i can. :D I'm a web developer myself and following a study for being a Software Engineer so i might be able to help with some programming stuff (although i havent checked out the unreal engine yet).
 
Update on the UAL LOGO:
Since I wanted this to be really good I contacted Henrik Ryosa that actually made the Fragcenter logo and works pro. with graphic design at his work. He will make a new logo for us and we have disscussed some ideas. He will come back with a suggestion for the UAL logo hopefully this week! :satan:
