Yes it's christmas time and Santa is here with a brand new LeagueAS140 :D

This release was mainly needed cause of the webadmin bug of leagueAS137. But of course we took the chance to fix as much other stuff as possible and added a few new features aswell. Thx to all guys that supported us with their feedback, problems and new ideas in these forums. I think we could add the most requested features:

New Features:

  • Critical Message Fix: Never ever miss an objective message again! If there is more than one critical message (objective message, endspree message,..), the messages will now be displayed below each other
  • Teamchange will not reduce your fragcount any more
  • A new option allows to make all HUD-Messages disappear when the map starts
  • A new option to disable color-codes in say messages but allow them in teamsay
  • Eavy is back: Fortstandard-Flags can be displayed like in the AssaultBonusPack. But now it can be enabled clientside! There are some different levels for different needs (Always on top to explore new maps, standard mode for optimizing knows maps, UT-Oap mode for BAM-Maps)
  • If you don't have installed LeagueAS (no .int file), you now can access the Clientoptions via a dynamically created MenuItem (just like RocketArea).
  • Remaining Time til mapstart is now shown in public mode aswell
  • HUD-Options will now take affect immediately (you don't have to wait for a mapchange any more)
  • Scoreboard: Netspeed is still shown if a player uses mute enemy/all

Bug Fixes:
  • Webadmin bug fixed
  • Teamview (f5): Health and Ammo should now be correctly displayed, no more accessed nones
  • Specating: same as Teamview
  • Demoplay: same as spectating, "live feed from" is displayed correctly again
  • CSHP: CRC check now works on all linux distributions (there were problems with gentoo linux)
  • CSHP-Badge will now disappear on Demo-Playback again
  • Fixed the 'dumbness' of bots
  • Removed several accessed nones and logfile spam
  • Several network optimisations. e.g.:Teaminfo on the ExtendedHUD is only transmitted to the players that have enabled that feature. Teaminfo is now disabled by default to save bandwith. It can of course be enabled in the HUD-Options

Map Fixes:
  • RocketCommandSE: Fixed the sidedoor fuse trigger
  • Siege][: Fix for the well known 'Siege crash' that happend on some windows servers (disabled by default, can be enabled on servers where these crashes occur)
  • Desolate][: Spawnpoint sequence fix

Download:

UMOD Installer: LeagueAS140_UMOD *recommended

optional: Client files (just in case the UMod installer fails): LeagueAS140_ClientFiles
optional: Server files (all you need to run LeagueAS on a server): LeagueAS140_ServerFiles

Hint: if the files are received as 'attachment.php', just rename them into xx.zip (thats a known forum attachment bug)


Note:

When you play LeagueAS140 for the first time, all Clientsettings will be set to default. You can change the settings via the Options menu or you can copy your [LeagueAS137.xxx] sections in your User.ini into [LeagueAS140.xxx] to take all settings into the new version. Your actual 137 options will not be affected by this, they are completely seperated. Patience please, this is hopefully the last release for a long time ;)

Enabling/Disableing of Colors/Icons:
Nothing was changed in the colors/fonts/icons code compared to LeagueAS137. Just the default look (when you play 140 for the very first time) has been adapted to meed the most common settings.
  • To reset everyting back to default, green, oldskool style:
    type "hudtoggle 0" in console OR choose "Reset" in the HUD-Options
  • To enable (team-)colored deathmessages:
    type "hudtoggle 1" in console OR choose "Preset 1" in the HUD-Options
  • To enable all the colored messages and icons in all it's glory:
    type "hudtoggle 2" in console OR choose "Preset 2" in the HUD-Options

LeagueAS140 is actually running on DFP Server. Try it out and have fun! :D

1) well almost no changes, it's mainly bugfixes. The few new features can be disabled via options menu! No noticable change to 137 then
2) yes, as always ;)
3) Sorry, that's actually not possible :( but if you copy your settings in your ut.ini from [LeagueAS137.xxx] to [LeagueAS138.xxx] you can port ALL settings and will get exactly the same configuration as you actually have in 137.
 
bah , besides for the flags i consider it way to complicated fs :confused: no need for a fuckload of bright colors and crap , huge lettering , and fucking green smoke coming out of my rocketlauncher :\ change can suck :rocket:
