To remove those annoying, flashing banners at the bottom of ICQ.

open the ICQ folder with windows explorer. C: \Program Files\ICQ

Rename the file "ICQHttp.dll"

Do not rename "ICQHttp .dll" (note the space)

Re-start ICQ

and

--**no banners**--

:P

If you have the ability to deny registry access to certain programs (many firewalls have this feature; as do some operating systems), then simply point your Registry Editor to HKLM>Mirabilis>ICQ>

Then find the ICQ Pro subkey, and within it, edit the following keys:

GreetingCardURL = about:blank
()BannersActive = 0
()CLBannerActive = 0

...Then deny ICQ, write to registry access.

Failing that, look up the build number in the About pane, and try looking for the patch :)

Shame Trillian has MAJOR bugs* in it :rolleyes:

*Unless they were fixed, but 1.0 pro most certainly suffered with major problems, and trillians makers never admitted to them, so i somehow doubt they fixed them!
