How can I speed up Map transfers when I'm serving

On my lan I sould be able to have fast map serves to the other machines but it's slow slow slow. How do I speed up the map serving (tried making the server dedicated but that didn't help).

What you want is redirected downloads.

Check out this article on The Admin Page, and maybe even this one for further troubleshooting.

If you don't have a web server & run a Windows OS, I recommend Xitami, it's a small download & really easy to set up .

Xitami is top banana I've used it for file downloads on a network, and you can also install and configure php with Xitami in a matter of seconds, if you want that sort of thing.
